Policy Exclusions

Figo Pet Insurance will not pay for costs associated with or resulting from the following:

  • Aesthetic or Non-Medical Procedures

    • Cosmetic Surgery

    • Grooming

  • Experimental and Risky Procedures

    • Cloned Pets or Cloning Procedures

    • Anything not administered by a Veterinarian

  • Training and Behavioral Classes/Devices

  • Unforeseeable and Catastrophic Events

    • Chemical, Biological or Nuclear Events

      • War, Invasion, Revolt, or Quarantine

  • Failure to Follow Veterinary Advice

    • Failure to Adhere to Veterinarian’s Preventative & Treatment Advice

  • Reproductive and Maternity Exclusions

    • Breeding, Pregnancy, or Giving Birth

    • Pets less than 6 weeks old

    • Spaying or Neutering (though not covered, it is recommended)

  • Eating Disorders and Ingestion Exclusions

    • Eating Poop or Other Eating Disorders

  • Harmful Activities, Behavioral, or Mistreatment Exclusions

    • Inhumane Treatments

    • Neglect or Abuse

    • Racing, Coursing, or Organized Fighting

  • Routine and Preventative Care Exclusions

    • Routine or Preventative Care

    • Elective Surgeries
