Policy Exclusions

Odie Pet Insurance will not pay for costs associated with or resulting from the following:

  • Pre-Existing Conditions

  • Chronic Conditions

  • Bilateral Conditions

  • Intervertebral disc Conditions

  • Preventative Care

  • Including, but not limited to wellness exams; vaccinations or titer tests; parasite control, and dental care.

  • Elective and Cosmetic Procedures

  • Including, but not limited to tail docking, ear cropping, declawing, dew claw removal, and ear cleaning.

  • Spaying or Neutering

  • Breeding and Pregnancy

  • Boarding and Transport Expenses

  • Including ambulance transportation.

  • Complications of or diagnostic tests, treatments, therapies, and/ ormedications related to conditions not covered.

  • Anal Gland Expression

  • Alternative and Holistic Treatments

  • Experimental Therapies and Medications

  • Training and Treatment of Behavioral Conditions

  • Cremation and Burial

Other Exclusions:

  • Any prescription or over-the-counter medications that are not included in the list of covered medications.

  • Administrative charges for the processing of insurance claims and/or sending medical records.

  • Injuries due to any intentional act, including organized dog fighting, that involves you or a member of your household.

  • Losses that arise from a nuclear reaction, radiation, radioactive contamination, war, rebellion, or insurrection.
