Policy Exclusions

Wagmo Pet Insurance will not pay for costs associated with or resulting from the following:

General Exclusions:
  • Failure to comply with policy conditions.

  • Pets younger than six weeks old.

  • Costs for vitamins, supplements, and food, unless prescribed by a vet.

  • Housing expenses.

  • Pool or hydrotherapy equipment rental costs.

  • Non-veterinary service fees.

Preventive Care Exclusions:
  • Obedience/training classes.

  • Preventive care products and treatments.

  • Grooming costs (unless medically necessary).

  • Time and travel expenses to a vet's premises.

  • Extra costs for in-person house calls or after-hours treatment.

Surgery Exclusions:
  • Cosmetic or elective surgery.

  • Anesthetic removals of foreign bodies limited to two per policy period.

Pre-existing Conditions:
  • Injury or illness prior to policy effective date.

  • Treatment for pre-existing conditions.

  • Treatment for conditions existing at birth.

Specific Conditions Exclusions:
  • Knee-related injuries within first six months (unless examined and noted by a vet).

  • Treatment of intervertebral disc disease in previously treated areas.

  • Genetic testing, breeding, pregnancy, etc.

Medical Treatment Exclusions:
  • Alternative and complementary therapies.

  • Clinical trial procedures.

  • Cloning procedures.

  • Organ transplants without approval.

  • Treatment related to specific activities.

  • Treatment related to epidemics, pandemics, or public safety concerns.

  • Decontamination costs for repetitive activities.
