Optional Wellness Rewards
Embrace also offers a non-insurance, optional add-on benefit called Wellness Rewards. Pet parents are reimbursed 100% up to the selected annual allowance. There are three annual allowances: $300, $500, and $700. You can use this wellness allowance for any of the eligible items, including:
Routine exams and vaccinations
Flea, tick, and heartworm medications
Preventative surgery such as spaying, neutering, and gastropexy
Prescription diet food
Grooming and training
Policy Exclusions
Embrace Pet Insurance will not pay for costs associated with or resulting from the following:
Ingested Foreign Body Removals
More than one removal of an ingested foreign body in one period of insurance
Excluded Treatment Costs
Genetic/chromosome testing
Cloning
Procedures to determine the suitability or categorization of your pet for breeding or genealogical purposes, including PennHIP and OFA evaluations
Breeding, pregnancy, whelping, or queening
Avian, swine, or any mutant variation of influenza
Epidemics or pandemics as declared by the US Department of Agriculture
Preventative care under the accident and illness insurance
Requirements of Policy Holders
There is a $25 enrollment fee
The maximum age for enrollment in full accident and illness coverage is 14 years
Pets older than 15 are eligible for an accident-only policy
The minimum age for enrollment is six weeks
Pets must have been examined by a licensed veterinarian in the 12 months before the policy start date
If there is no noted exam prior to the policy start date, an exam is required within the first 14 days of the policy
Pet parents can cancel policies immediately over the phone with no penalty
Claims must be submitted within the policy year plus 60 days
Other Provisions
There is a defined appeal process for claims
Reimbursement method: direct deposit or check
Prescription medication coverage is available for all accident and illness policies
There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date
Orthopedic conditions have additional waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state

You can use Embrace’s website or app to submit your claims directly. Alternatively, you can also fax, mail, or email your claim form with the invoice(s) within 60 days of renewal to the next term.

How to Cancel Embrace Pet Insurance
To cancel an Embrace Pet Insurance policy, you can contact customer service via phone or email. You can also submit a cancellation request online.
Does Embrace Pet Insurance Have a Money-Back Guarantee?
If you cancel your policy within 30 days of your start date and haven't submitted any claims, you will receive a full refund.
