Accident

Liberty’s Accident plan is the least expensive but also offers the least amount of coverage. Namely, it does not cover illnesses, so we do not recommend this plan.

Accident & Illness (Recommended)

The Accident & Illness plan is the most popular and compares to standard pet insurance plans. This coverage option applies to unexpected vet bills due to both accidents and illnesses. So, if your dog or cat gets sick or injured you’re covered.

The third and final option is the most expensive but also the most comprehensive. In addition to accident and illness coverage, this plan covers routine care expenses as well.

Coverage Exclusions

Like any pet insurance company, Liberty has a relatively standard list of exclusions:

Policy Customization

Annual Maximum

You can choose $5,000, $10,000 or $15,000 per year.

Deductible

You can choose between $250, $500 or $1,000.

Reimbursement

Select either, 70%, 80% or 90% reimbursement.

Waiting Periods

Liberty is unique in that it only has a 24 hour waiting period for any health related issue.
